This page is
a follow-up to the first CFA event host
committee meeting held in February 2005.
The objectives of the meeting were to
come up with ways:

for
current CFA Event Hosts to help new
Event Hosts and one another
-
to ensure
some manner of consistency across CFA
events so Club members have a general
idea of what they should expect at an
event
-
to help
Event Hosts get the attendance they want
at their event
-
to
enhance the Event Host Manual
-
to
improve the Club and Club experience for
all members
At the
meeting, Troy agreed to manage the
committee. We agreed that each Event
Host would be assigned at least 2 other
Event Hosts as their "buddys" or "coaches".
We didn't define what "coaching" meant or
how much of a time commitment this would
represent, but it's assumed to be minimal.
Ideally, your
coaches are not people you know well, so you
get objective feedback and make a new
friend. This also to make sure all CFA
Event Hosts have someone other than Sibylle
to turn to for help and a variety of
thoughts and opinions from which to choose.
We did not get into the specifics of who
would do what with whom, so this is an
attempt at doing just that.
What follows
is a draft for discussion. There was
no particular rhyme or reason to who has
been assigned to which event other than
every event should have at least 2 "coaches"
and that each Event Host should aim to help
at least 2 others.
Please take a
look at who you've been assigned to work
with and who has been assigned to work with
you. If you don't like what you see,
say so in a short note to
Troy and we'll fix
it. (Jackson is doing the grunt
work on this website, so he's copied
automatically.) Please also tell us if
you can take on a 3rd event, as we don't
have enough "coaches" to go around!
