I was just thinking about the scheduled run last year. Was looking forward to it as I've never done the trail myself and was disappointed when Indian Summer broke and our monsoons started early. Is there any interest in doing this run this year prior to fall rains making the trail impassable? Thoughts? .... Anyone ..... Beuller ?

So how does one return back after 7-8 months off. Injury, mentally demotivated, finding new sports-but I feel the time is now to return. I can kinda run for an hour or so....

Hey guys, I found your site when I first started looking into urban culture and exercise.

I'm looking for some advice on accommodations for Western States this year. I'm heading down to pace a friend and am looking for names of places/hotels I might be able to stay. (My runner is supposed to be helping out with this, but I haven't got any specifics yet, so am doing a bit of leg work on my own).

I'm planning on running my first Dirty Duo 1 March. This will also be my first 50k in 4 years. What should I know about the course, any tips, etc?

As you might now, our online clubhouse and website at http://www.clubfatass.com was offline last night for some routine trail maintenance and removal of creaky boardwalks. We are up and running again. Ran Katzmann, our volunteer Tech Committee chair, did a great job minimizing disruptions.

1. Downhill ski from the summit of Whistler to the Village
2. Cycle from Whistler Village to Cheakamus Lake 3. Overnight Snowshoe Traverse past Black Tusk to Garibaldi Lake
4. Four-day Backcountry Ski Traverse of the Garibaldi Neve, passing Mt. Garibaldi.

I am planning on running the Goofy Race sponsored by Disney World in Orlando Florida in January 2009.

Registration Date Begins on January 14, 2008.

Registration usually fills up for the Goof Run fairly quickly....in about 6 weeks last year.
