Well I decided to try and mark out the mileage on the course after a
snow storm. I wanted to get it done as soon as possible and over my
wife's objections. Off I went. Of course my 9 year son (Bradley) wanted
to go, so we got some water and jumped in the Pathfinder. On the lower
roads we had about 5 inches of snow. But we pressed on. I was feeling
good about getting a start and it was clearing up, so I thought things
were going good. Then I remembered about 7 miles into it that I had
forgotten my shovel and chainsaw. Ahhh I thought nothing will happen!
On we continued.....the snow getting deeper and deeper. Then suddenly
the pathfinder started sliding and sliding....we came to a stop about 3
feet from the edge of the mountain. My son looking like he had just
seen Bigfoot and me with a smile of relief that we were still on the
road. I started moving forward again...a big 2 inches...and STUCK!!!
I
tried for the next hour trying to get the truck out with no success.
Luckily we had some water...so being fed up with it I ditched the
pathfinder and we started walking. We had about 2 hours of sunlight
left as we started. Walking we talked and I laughed about how stupid I
had been bringing nothing to get out. Luckily I had a small
radio.Called my wife when we had gotten about 5 miles away. My wife got
someone to come and pick up my son. Which they came and got Brad when
we were about 3 miles from our house. I decided to run the rest of the
way home and work out some restless energy. Photos of the course will
follow so you all can see it!!

Glad you guys are fine!
Phew. Glad you made it out in one piece. Hope you were able to recover the truck?
Please take care next time you head out to map the course. Maybe you can wait until the snows goes away?
Can't wait to see more photos.
