The Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay is an annual community based fundraising event that challenges groups of people to run or walk Relay-style for 24 hours. Teams of runners and/or walkers made up of Corporate and Recreational groups collect individual pledges or organize team fundraising events to raise funds towards their collective team totals.
Help us raise some Big Sisters team spirit AND some funds for our Little Sisters by joining the Big Sisters Team at the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5k on June 28th! Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland is one of the chosen charities for the Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5K. We have about 10 free entries left on a first come first serve basis. The registration fee ($30 for 5k and $70 for half-marathon) will be waived if the runner/walker is willing to fundraise $50 for Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland.
On 23rd. October 2005, the first fully documented run around the world was completed - the World Run. During this run, some ultrarunners met up and decided that it could be interesting to go for the ultimate longest distance in the history of distance running - a run from the North to the South and back. This time not it would be the goal of a single runner but of a group of international runners: World Run 2: The North - South Run !
North Shore Rescue (NSR) is a Mountain Search and Rescue Team based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The team consists of approximately 40 volunteers skilled in search and rescue operations in mountain, canyon and urban settings.
