Flash Event

I'm new to the club so this is my first flash event.

Plan is to leave Vancouver around 6am.  We can drive to the trailhead, or if people feel ambitious we can bike there and lock our bikes up in the forest.  Use the new trail up to Deeks lakes, bag a peak or two, run into snow, get lost, get found, finish at Cypress, retrieve bikes (if applicable), carbo-hyrate with chilled frothy beverages at a pub.

Come prepared for snow (atleast mentally).

I expect we'll be in the 8-12 hour range.

I didn't get into KK and I'm volunteering, so I need to run on sunday before another 'do at 1130.

I will be running with my friend Krys from Deep Cove to probably Lynn Canyon return on Sunday June 11th at 0700. Feel free to join us!

An easy training run with a bit of trail marking on the first half of the STORMY course. 

The  run will include the University loop.

Meet at Brennan Park at 9am.

What: I little birdie told me that William is embarking on his annual House to Grouse adventure, a run from his house near Main Street to Grouse Mountain.  Not sure when William will be setting out, but my plan is to leave early from the Yellow Beacon in North Van, run up Mosquito Creek and then via one of the multiple trails up to Grouse mountain and the peak.

What:  A change of plans... An afternoon assault at leisurely pace of Mount Fromme.

Why:  Because it's there...

This is a trail run on a trail which many of you have run past but few probably know called the Lower Elsay Trail.  It will take an average of probably around 6-8 hours.  The trail is well marked aside from the entrance, with tree tags.  In general keep cutting across many creeks and gulleys around the same altitude, and do not head towards the water unless you are sure you are on the Lower Elsay Trail.
