Looking for at least 1 other person to complete the 28 mile Loowit Trail that runs around the summit of Mount St. Helens. According to Google Maps, the drive is about 6 hours plus border traffic to get from Vancouver to the June Lake trailhead or from the climbing bivouac trailhead located on the south side of the mountain. For more information about the trail, check out the links below.
A Stormy training run - hence the 12:00 noon start - with some good running and some good hills. We will meet at Grouse Mountain shortly before 12:00 noon on Saturday July 5, 2008 and head out to Lynn Headwaters on the BP.
The fools are at it again. While they are not all here in Squaw, the few that are have decided to commemorate the WS 100 miler cancellation by logging a few kilomters in this scenic area.
Where / Route: from Squaw Valley at the official WS start line to Tahoe City via the bike path and back
This is a continuation of Baldy's Bonkfest. We're going back to finish the run. Hey, some people rest a bit longer between loops! Thanks to Baldwin for letting me use his text. There's room to car pool if anyone's interested.
Kneeknacker Start (Caulfield Exit, West Vancouver)
A couple of years ago, in preparation for the Vancouver 100 (V100), Tim Wiens and I went on a recon mission from the 1/2 way point on the V100 route (start of the Knee Knacker race) over Black Mountain and down to Cleveland Dam to check out the "trail" (read "snow") conditions -- see Bill and Tim's Excellent Adventure.
Given the current snow conditions on the local mountains (considerably more than during our first Adventure), I know that more than a couple of us are interested in knowing what lays in store for this year.
