Galbraith Mountain Tour

What?

  • New route this year! Some old, some new come and explore.
  • A roughly 20 mile trail run of the Lake Padden & Galbraith Mountain trail systems.
  • A 5.8 mile "Padden tour" that will follow the long course for 3.5 miles and then head back to start /finish.
  • 80% single track trail with only short sections of logging road and a half mile of pavement.
  • Prepare for the lack of stairs, boulders, roots and bears but with all the fun of rolling single track.
  • If we have clear weather there will be amazing views of Mt. Baker, San Juan Islands & the Northshore mountains of Vancouver.
  • No markings, No aid, Be sure to dress for conditions!
  • If you Mountain bike, you'll want to take this opportunity to check out some of the best trails south of the border.
  • Best map of Galbraith ever made will be available for $9.00 US at the start. Free map for the Padden tour route. Or just run with the group and have fun. Please contact me if you now you want one so I know how many to pick up. Directions for the run will be available at the start if you want to run solo, but you will need a map to find your way. Only people with good navigation skills should go it alone. You may also pick up a map at Fairhaven Runners.

How Much?

  • Free for Club Fat Ass members (check out member benefits and fees here)
  • To keep hassles on the morning of the run to a minimum and allow the host to participate as well we ask to please sign up for both, the club membership and the event online and in advance.
