Run from William Jans' house in East Vancouver/Mount Pleasant to top of Grouse Mountain. 5th year running.  Hang about Ambleside park afterwards for a bit for Canada day stuffs and to eat yogurt. Bring a bit of cash for tram, food and possible bus home (unless we catch lifts).

Location: East Vancouver - Vancouver - North Vancouver

I am planning to meet up with the House to Grouse runners on Canada Day - but given my pace, I am not kidding myself to be able to keep up.  I also don't want to include the Grind...which got me thinking of a very custom version of William's run.  Well, maybe it's a totally different run (but we still might meet the House to Grouse folks).

Just cause I gotta get it done. I'm behind on my 50/50 milers for the year so I've decided to run Saturday and Sunday in Kal Park hosting the TripleBay-Double from my home Fatass style.

Your choice of distance, one to four 20k loops form my home through beautiful hilly Kal park and it's three bays, then back to my place. Must carry enough water to make the 20k loops. It will be hot. I will supply water and a bit of shade.

What: There are hot springs in the mountains on Pitt River.   They are hard to reach.  Word is that they are quite beautiful.  This is an adventure that aims to reward the adventure-seeker with not only with an adventure, but with a relaxing dip in the springs!

Why: Because you've never been there before.

Who: Given that the hot springs are deep in the back country, this event is best suited to experienced back-road cyclists.  By invitation only.

When: Date is TBD in consultation with those who are interested in joining the adventure.  It has to be a Saturday or Sunday and it would be best to do this on a sunny, spring day.  We would aim to start and finish at the head of Pitt Lake during daylight.

More: Getting to the springs involves getting to the northern end of Pitt Lake, a 22K trek up a logging road and scaling 200M or so down a valley.  In order to accomplish this in a day, I recommend we take a boat up the lake and mountain bike to the springs.  I recommend the details be worked out with comments below

It's that time of the year again!   With Kneeknacker over and done with and STORMY coming up, Bill's Great Peak Ascent offers a great group training opportunity for those with upcoming races or just to wanting to get some more off-road mileage in.

As with last year, there'll be lots of swag possibilities for those who come to the post-run event.  And, of course, if that's not enough, there's always that free beer awaiting participants at the Mosquito Creek Grill.

Bonjour from Geneva!

I am now being for three years a "long-distance-virtual-member" of the CFA!Found it on the net, loved the shirt, got the shirt and now discover and love everything you do guys(I wish I ll be there or have that here).

Anyway, I decided to post some Geneva's runs (not as crazy as yours though) I am going to take part.

So, here is my next one on sunday Le Demi de Jussy.  It's an half marathon, but I will run the 10km, as I am planning to run the half marathon on Lausanne at the end of october (it's up hill).

Hey all, just figured I'd give a quick heads up that Kerry Ward has been kind enough to offer up his studio for an evening presentation surrounding some of the adventures I've been fortunate enough to participate in over the last six years, since I started running/racing.

It's happening this Sat night and entry is only five bucks. Here's the link, hope to see a few of you there!
