Your choice of distance, one to four 20k loops form my home through beautiful hilly Kal park and it's three bays, then back to my place. Must carry enough water to make the 20k loops. It will be hot. The course will be 95% singletrack with lots of climbing - and what goes up must come down. The starting point would be the Seven Summit trail-head (by Nancy Greene lake) and the ending point would be our place - 1817 Planer Crescent. Cold beverages and a bbq will follow the event. Long Version Location: Rossland, BC Canada Sunday July 19, 2009

Why: Because you've never been there before. Who: Given that the hot springs are deep in the back country, this event is best suited to experienced back-road cyclists. By invitation only. When: Date is TBD in consultation with those who are interested in joining the adventure. It has to be a Saturday or Sunday and it would be best to do this on a sunny, spring day. We would aim to start and finish at the head of Pitt Lake during daylight. More: Getting to the springs involves getting to the northern end of Pitt Lake, a 22K trek up a logging road and scaling 200M or so down a valley. In order to accomplish this in a day, I recommend we take a boat up the lake and mountain bike to the springs. I recommend the details be worked out with comments below Location: Pitt Lake, British Columbia, Canada Monday July 20, 2009

And, of course, if that's not enough, there's always that free beer awaiting participants at the Mosquito Creek Grill. I am planning to meet up with the House to Grouse runners on Canada Day - but given my pace, I am not kidding myself to be able to keep up. I also don't want to include the Grind...which got me thinking of a very custom version of William's run. Well, maybe it's a totally different run (but we still might meet the House to Grouse folks).
What: There are hot springs in the mountains on Pitt River. They are hard to reach. Word is that they are quite beautiful. This is an adventure that aims to reward the adventure-seeker with not only with an adventure, but with a relaxing dip in the springs!
