The fools are at it again. While they are not all here in Squaw, the few that are have decided to commemorate the WS 100 miler cancellation by logging a few kilomters in this scenic area.

So the "Monty" is looming and from my recent exposure to the Squamish region, the Monty hills are shorter, and the trail a real "no brainer". I am hoping to start the Full Monty at 7:00am, be at the turn around with water and stuff. Get back to the start to marshall the 1/2 Monty,start the short run, then run sweep! Sounds like a "Fun" way to start the day! ILTS!

According to Google Maps, the drive is about 6 hours plus border traffic to get from Vancouver to the June Lake trailhead or from the climbing bivouac trailhead located on the south side of the mountain. One week to go until the 5th running of Bill's Great Peak Ascent! Perfect timing for a 30 km, right smack dab in the middle between Kneeknacker and STORMY. This is a good STORMY training run or just a good opportunity to get a 30 km (or less) training run in with friends. Afterwards, we'll be getting together at the Mosquito Creek grill for a free beer, food, and socializing.
