I may be an injured old piece of shi%, but I hereby commit to doing something useful for the benefit of the participants, organizer and crew, I'd sure like to run with someone for 1/4 to 1/2 the way, but if I can't, I will make sure there is warm pizza and cool Guiness for at least 25% of the field.
I have crewed for this race for a couple of years and have always had great fun doing it. If anyone wants tips or would like to coordinate things a bit, just let me know. It would also be nice to get a sense of what folks estimated times are as this could help with the crew planning.
If your name is on this list then you have been accepted to run the Vancouver 100. If your name is not on this list then you have until May 20 to apply for the 100km distance and until event day for any distance. To make application go directly to:
Please remember that everyone must have a thorough knowledge of the route and agree to bring their own special dedicated crew for the entire trip, back and forth. The crew names are in brackets. Please advise me of your crew if you haven't yet and also advise me of any changes. Having a crew is mandatory and I must be advised well in advance of who this will be. Thanks!

Our starting time this year is 0600h and all runners are welcome regardless of their planned running distance. In fact, we'd love to have everyone out to cheer us on and supply us with energy and goodies.
As for a recon, I'm planning to do some trail marking on Hollyburn on Sunday May 25. It will be during the Knee Knacker training run from Cleveland Dam to Cypress Bowl and back. All are welcome to join. I will do some marking at the top of the Hollyburn section so we can all find our way into and through the trees with ease. Other than that, I'm finding it hard to make definite plans to do any other marking before June 7. Besides that, the snow is still honkin' deep on Black Mtn. Perhaps you would like to organize a little run for those interested in wandering around on Black Mtn. just like Rod and I did a couple of weekends ago. Craig

OK so the Vancouver 100 kicked my ass in 2006, but now it's time to do it right.
Looking forward to spending the day playing around in the North Shore Mountains. Sign me up!
In lieu of all of the snow I think it woud be wise for us to do a 'reconnesaince' mission within the next few weeks to get our bearings. Hey Tim got that GPS charged up?
Let's do this thing!!
Cheers, Adventure Mike
